Bay of Fires NV Tigress Sparkling Rosé

The summer season is upon us, which means that it is time to drink bubbly - and this year, the fashionable drop is sparkling rose. Tigress, from Bay of Fires in Tasmania has just released a sophisticated little number that should definitely be on your shopping list. With its salmon pink colour and its complex palate, it is an absolute delight to drink. The flavours are both sweet and savoury, with strawberry nuances and a slight mushroom aroma which is incredibly appealing. The palate is tight and dry, making it a great aperitif. This is pink fizz with a difference, as it is serious wine rather than sweet lolly water. Enjoy ... and best wishes for 2006!
