2003 Henschke Littlehampton Innes Vineyard Pinot Gris

Adelaide Hills, South Australia

Henschke label

The 2003 Henschke Pinot Gris is an exceptional example of this new and increasingly fashionable variety. Often Pinot Gris is dismissed for its simplicity yet this wine displays complex layers of flavour and a superb structure. The wine opens with spice and honeysuckle aromas and grows into a richly fruited wine, unctuous in nature, yet with a vein of minerality and chalky acidity that gives freshness to the palate. With each mouthful, a new aspect is delivered making this wine both interesting and entertaining to drink. A perfect partner to fine food, particularly salmon, shellfish and rich white meats. Enjoy young or age in the short term.
