Miceli Iolanda Pinot Grigio
Mornington Peninsula
Few wines of late have excited me as much as the Miceli Iolanda Pinot
Grigio. Its savoury nuances and restrained, yet focused fruit character
transports me straight to Italy. Yet it is produced in Victoria’s
fine Mornington Peninsula, where Pinot Grigio excels.
The nose of white pear and honeysuckle is complexed by fresh hay and
a hint of cream. The palate follows with an abundance of flavour, which
persists long after swallowing.
This wine is the most perfect accompaniment to summer foods. However,
don’t just buy one bottle or you will be supremely disappointed
when the last glass is poured.
Available through fine wine retailers, and the cellar door the first
weekend of every month.
