TK Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc
Adelaide Hills
This is a particularly exciting time of year as all of the new vintage
whites are being released. The fresh, vibrant varieties of Riesling and
Sauvignon Blanc are just superb on release – you can almost smell
the freshness of the grapes.
One particularly outstanding wine from 2004 is the TK Adelaide Hills
Sauvignon Blanc. TK stands for Tim Knappstein, who produces exceedingly
fine wines from his Lenswood property.
His Sauvignon Blanc has a fragrant and perfumed nose followed by a soft,
zesty, flavoursome palate. The palate is incredibly classy, with an attractive
vein of acidity running the length of the palate. The finish is intense
and long. It is a perfect wine to serve with fresh seafood, particularly
oysters, white fish and crab.
