2005 Wynns Coonawarra Estate

Cabernet Shiraz Merlot

Wynns Coonawarra red blend

With so many wineries in Australia, sometimes it is easy to overlook your old favourites.  So if you have not had a bottle of Wynns in a while, I urge you to revisit the brand as the quality is as solid as ever.  An ever reliable drop is their Cabernet Shiraz Merlot.  Being a blend of three classic varieties, it has an even harmonious palate with red berries, some subtle spice and a hint of freshly crushed leaves.  It has a traditional structure and the gently drying tannins make it a great partner to roast lamb.  Buy a few bottles to drink now and a few to cellar for the future.

Available from good wine stores.

Price: $19.00
