Tasting notes
Tasting notes for recent releases and award winners for some of Australia's best Italian wine
A vibrant wine with fresh fruity aromas and a nutty complexity. Fresh-cut apple and pear fruits from the Pinot Grigio and melon from the Chardonnay overlay the softly textured palate. The fine creamy mousse lifts the palate while the wine closes with a fresh crisp finish.
Rich salmon pink in colour or “Burmese Rubies” this wine releases a mix of distinctive Sangiovese aromas of briariness with floral and ripe strawberry characters. There are flavours of raspberries and cherry ripe which is followed by a dry finish. A wine full of flavour but not sweet.
'Nebbiolo is notoriously difficult to get right, and decent examples usually come at a high price. We’re not sure what Thorn-Clarke’s secret is, but we hope it keeps doing it!' Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh
